Wouldn't it be better to eat at a slight surplus and do a shit ton of cardio for cutting instead of eating at deficit and feeling like shit ? You would get all your micronutrients and not feel like shit all day.
>>
wtf i love cardio now

Eating 100 less is massively easier than burning 100 more.
If you feel like shit while cutting maybe you shouldn't fall for the low-carb meme.
>>
>>42420194
I do that but I eat at maintenance.
>>

1 hour of cardio burns easily 500-600 calories and it's healthy for your cardiovascular system and makes your body more efficient in general
>>

I didn't say don't do cardio.
Intentionally eating more then expecting to burn it off plus some isn't a good plan.

>Eating at surplus
>Cutting

Your logic is broken here.

If you spend enough energy to lose fat, then by definition, you are eating less than you spent.

You are only eatinf at a surplus if you didn't spend all that you ate.

Eating at surplus and cutting are opposites.

One hour of cardio raises your cortisol too high, promoting fat storage, and gets you into neoglucogenesis, eating away equally at your fat, muscle and bones.

>One hour of cardio raises your cortisol
Only if you are going over 40% VO2Max.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18787373
>In contrast, low intensity exercise (40%) does not result in significant increases in cortisol levels, but, once corrections for plasma volume reduction occurred and circadian factors were examined, low intensity exercise actually resulted in a reduction in circulating cortisol levels.

Gluconeogenesis is stimulated in response to any carbohydrate deficiency be it diet/exercise/caloric deficit induced and short term fluctuations in hormones mean nothing. You need to look at the area under the curve over days and days to infer effects which isn't any different.

it lowers it you dumb fuck. as long you're not doing INSANE amounts of cardio which will make you completely fatigued it will get lowered.
