I have a job where I need to move around, go on ladders and stuff. Not a desk job. Should I weight lift which could give me a one way ticket to snap city and since it wouldnt be a workplace injury, no workers comp? Currently I only run.

Honestly you should only need some basic bodyweight strength training and core and lower body conditioning. Do bodyweight squats and lunges, no need to worry about snapping your shit up. Planks and hanging knee raises for core stability and support. Push ups, diamond push ups, pull ups, chin ups, and dead hangs for arm, chest, back, and grip strength.
