I usually don't gain enough over just 3 weeks to necessitate a cut. If my diet's on point, I put on 1.5 to 2 lbs in 3 weeks. On a cut I'll lose at least 1 lb a week. Probably more just from all the water I'd lose.

You can push the bulk to 4-6 weeks before a serious decline in %lbm increase.

And you need at least 2 weeks at maintenance or cut to reset.

When you begin overeating, you get a hormonal anabolic effect. The happens even if you don't lift. It quickly decreases though.

do it, i did it. slow progress but keeps bodyfat in check. problem is you'll still put on some fat on you, reaching around 15%, trust me, you can't stay at 10 % even if you're monitoring your nutrition closely during a bulk, even a short one. anyways go for it op, you'll cut down on summer cut time ( from couple of months to couple of weeks on an easy deficit ) and probably feel better overall, avoid becoming a fat fuck and lose less strength when cutting for summer
