I'm purchasing a new bike since my old one got stolen. I've leaning towards a mountain bike or hybrid bike. I live in the city, but I also time from time go on uneven roads.
Can anyone with hybrid bikes tell me if they're worth buying? Money isn't as big an issue as performance. I like mountain bikes for durability and stability, but I won't lie that riding on really long roads can be a bit of a drag (also I guess it means more gains?).
this is probably a question for transportation board
regardless I have a mid-line hybrid Trek that I enjoy but honestly /n/ will know so so much more

don't you have feet..

Hybrid should be fine. Road bikes on uneven roads and curbs is a joke.
Mountain bike wouldn't hurt, but it's not necessary.

what are you even talking about, all they talk about are fucking bikes and trains

Newfag.

You're better off buying an AR15 and going after the pack of Blacks who stole your bicycle. You'll be walking around parts of town with trash everywhere, abandoned cars in the streets, 3 year olds in diapers wandering the sidewalks alone.
Basically, Fallout 4 in N-Town. Much better for gains.
>it's true.

I second the previous poster's sentiment about the whole nigga stole my bike thing. You don't want your next one to be stolen too. Also this is a fit board, most people here are only familiar with the stationary bike.
I have a Schwinn hybrid, it's a pretty good choice if you ride in a city. Bought it after popping a couple road bike tires on potholes and curbs. Was about $400, you can probably find one cheaper than that on sale if you shop around.

get a cyclocross frame and headset and fit it with some hybrid tires. I have a Redline and I am totally happy innawoods or on the street. I could fit a carrier on it but I'm not a fag

Brehs, I've just started to ride a bike as a form of cardio and I'm worried about getting ED from it. I've already purchased bib bike shorts with a chamois pad; is there anything else I can do to prevent numb benis?

you don't need padded shorts until you're doing 20-30m a day.
if your junk is numb, go get a proper saddle fitting at your LBS. Your bike saddle is like your shoes, you need exactly the right size and shape. If you don't want to pay, you need to measure your sit bones and go pick out a saddle that matches.

Thanks mane, this is the first time I'm told about saddle sizes.
I really like Surly Stragglers when it comes to a hybrid
