What's the best way to maintain decent strength, bulk, and fitness into your 70's, /fit/? That's the age at which a lot of formerly-fit people really fall apart physically, and shed much of their former strength. I notice that certain people like farmers maintain physical strength a long time - into their 80's and even beyond. What is their secret?

Their secret is that they just keep going and don't stop lifting heavy shit just because they are old.

My dad is weak and unhealthy as fuck but every time I tell him he should come to the gym he just says 'I'm too old for that'

Even if he could only squat 1 plate he would still be doing better than 95% of people his age
