Chiropractors are only alternative medicine because it is almost impossible to prove its working because the disease is a spectrum of pain and issues. And not something concrete or objectively quantifiable (like the infection is present or not, or your lungs absorb this amount of o2) The only evidence you could give is have people report their pain on a scale from 1-10 and compare people who went to the chiro and people who didn't. But there is no placebo in this case. But at least where i live you have to be a qualified doctor to become a chiropractor and doctors often refer people to one.
