Is SS enough to make size gains or not? SS is good for me because I want to be thicc, but I read that there's not enough volume.

For biceps but you need 3 things:

Progressive Overload
Metabolic training
Eccentric overload

I think that with beginner gains and truly trying to push yourself the hardest each work out its enough volume.

I'd certainly switch one day of squats out for pull ups, and add supplementary curls to each, but otherwise I think its enough to progress quickly every single work outs.

And if you really hold on to that progress you can get 1/2/3/4 fairly quickly.
