Should I switch to a whey protein powder fast from a water fast in order to preserve some muscle mass? I'm a fatass 3 days into a water fast but I fear I'll lose a lot of muscle mass I had gained several months ago in the gym.

things wrong with what you've done:

>whey protein fast is not the same as a fast at this point just do IF
>consuming only protein without proper fat ratios give protein poisoning (google protein poisoning or rabbit starvation)
>muscle needs stimulation to stay (exercising) remember that the body is trying to be as efficient as possible and holding onto unused excess muscle is a resource waste
>you can regain these gains you made months ago by restarting at the gym and getting on a proper fuckin diet
