I am deathly afraid of doing barbell lifts and cannot snap myself out of it (snap lol).
Sadly though, I have been doing dumbells +bodyweight and some machines in the gym.
I usually do as close to SS as I can emulate but I do not know how to use the machines.

I have been watching Alan Thrall but I am apprehensive to trying it since learning form is completely different from doing good form.
Start light, don't "ego-lift", don't be afraid to ask for help. You've got this

??? You shouldn't hurt yourself unless you have a preexisting condition, use way too much weight, or have terrible form. If you are really worried stop increasing weight after a while. AFAIK, most injuries come from ego lifts or serious amounts of weight. You're not gonna hurt yourself lifting three times a week at a novice level. Think about it, you'll be lifting 100 -200 max for a while.
