Started channeling my depression into running, working out and eating less. No one told me it was ever that easy

Enjoy your first week.

week number 3 starting today

I'm in a similar situation and I'm at month 3 of gymming and month 1 of working.. Workouts and running aren't something that requires burning motivation, they're just things I do. The pettiness of wanting to succeed for the sake of rubbing it in peoples faces helps, but it's mostly just getting on with it because depression NEETing is a lot worse.

Come back after a couple of months or a year when progress isnt what you want it to be and report back.

Pretty much this. Eventually you'll feel empty just like before
then you will be fit and depressed

its better to be swole and empty then skinny and empty

faggot crabs in a bucket, all of you
OP it's better to not be an unhealthy piece of shit than to be one.
Fixing problems such as your health and fitness can significantly help you psychologically.
Do research into diet and supplementation and try to work out if you're likely to be deficient in anything, and then take steps to fix it. Vitamin D is a big one that's linked to depression when at insufficient levels.
Set goals for yourself, realistic medium-term ones, not big long term ones ie "get ripped slay pussy every night" etc, once again this helps psychologically when you achieve things you set out to do.
But otherwise, this is a faggy blogpost, stop shitting up /fit/, save it for the friday night feels threads.
