>decide it's finally time to do the DEATH HEAVE
>"i know mine staggering trunks of leg-muscle can handle a death heave of a mere 1pl8!"
>load up lmao1pl8 deadlift
>go
>back wants to round out on second rep
>start to do third rep
>"okay I can't get this up"
>well I gotta get it back on the safeties so I can take the plates off
>URRRRRRAAAAAAUUUUUUUUGHHHHHHH
>most effort ever of all time to do the third rep, manage to get it up without rounding my lower back
so what the fuck do I do? I don't feel the slightest twinge in my quads or hammies but my lower back, from 3 reps, feels like anthony bourdain on PCP used me as a punching bag

get stronger

Fuck I always do that looking up one.

Use bumper plates so the bar is at the 'proper' height off of the ground.
Also, do some bent over rows to build up some strength in your lower back first.

i do it while i square my shoulders and pull the slack out of the bar but then glance in the mirror and then back to neutral

should I just do the death heave 3 times again?
if at any point your form breaks, drop the weight, you failed the set.
take a breather, do it again

I was using bumper plates
my gym actually has the rows device thing that's like an olympic bar attached to a pivoting stand. I'm gonna start rowing the fuck out of that bitch, i hate doing bent over rows on the bench
also I was wearing running shoes while doing this, pretty thick heel, does it really make that much of a difference for a sub body weight DL?
