What does /fit/ think about intra-workout supplements? Are they worth it?
no point unless your workout breaches the 1.25-1.5 hour mark at where serum cortisol levels are at peak and further working out is increasingly futile (harder work for lesser gains in a compounding sense)
no point in working out to a point where you would need them unless you could somehow stop cortisol response ( i have theorized coming off a corticosteroid dose to lower natural cortisol levels entirely but adrenal fatigue could kill you at that point)

I have never used them, unless you count just pure BCAA's, so can't vouch for them or speak negatively of them. I use a pre- though and never really saw the need to add another 100+g caffeine on top of the 250+g I already consumed.
Like I said, I tried intra BCAA's for a bit a couple years ago and after switching to just plain water, no difference in workout or recovery. Just made my water taste fruity.
