I was out cutting some wood yesterday and like a complete fucking idiot I threw out my back.
I can barely walk upright atm.
Are there any light exercises I can do to speed up the healing or am I just gonna have to stick to rest and hotpacks until I stop feeling like a goddamned cripple?

I've thrown out my back 2 times in the last year I started working out last October because of my back. What worked well for me was gently foam rolling my lumbar area along with some different stretches like the Mackenzie stretch. Some times it just takes time to heal. Keep your body up straight and your torso, shoulders, neck and head all square whenever you move and turn. You'll look like batman but it'll keep you from twisting your spine.
I've been doing yoga and consistently stretching since the last blow out and I've been fine so far. It'll help lower the risk of it happening again. I know how much it sucks, you ligit feel like a cripple, hope you get better soon bro.
