>6'0 / 150lb skelly
>started lifting 3 times a week a month ago
>still notice nothing
>realized I'd been eating <1300 calories daily my whole life
Was it all for nothing? If not muscle, did I at least gain some grip strength?

You gained experience, which IMO is the most important thing
Yes. You gained valuable knowledge. Now start eating 3000 calories you damn skelly

Speaking from personal experience, it takes a lot of time to go from skelly to anything past ottermode. I started off as a short skelly boy at 16/17 years old, and now I'm entering ripped/athlete mode at 21.
That's the better part of 5 years lifting every other day no matter what. I can fit the days I missed the gym in one month. If you want it you gotta want it badly m8. Going from complete skelly to where I'm at now was only possible because of puberty gains that I'm just starting to experience. If you're already older it's gonna take a bit more time.

I gained around 20 pounds in 3 months, mostly muscle. I still look like a skeleton. I need to gain about 30lbs more to look normal. Eating is annoying, but I've gotten used to it. I'm 30 so the rate I'm gaining is nice considering my age.
