how important is it during bent over rows to have a totally straight back? I don't pull that heavy (about 1 plate) but I find it nearly impossible to keep my spine totally neutral like I do during deadlifts

you HAVE to have an arched back for all rowing exercises to properly use your lats
don't excessively arch your back but it needs to have an arch in it
