The bar thing is a good form of progression towards one handed push up, but people generally do it side ways. And a dumbbell would be a better choice.

Lifting your feet makes push ups harder but if you are aiming for one handed it would be more intelligent to simply use less the spare arm. Half yoga balls are not the best choice for feet lifters.
