What's the worst advice you ever heard on /fit/?

>Do pendlay rows instead of Yates rows
>>
>>42283012
Do you do over or under hand? I typically underhand sometimes add extra sets of over.
>>
tbar row is best row variation.

You can overload like normal barbell, you can lift most weight and its least taxing on lower back
>>
>not doing chest supported rows
>>
>>42283182
You can do all of those with barbell rows plus it has better range of motion

>>42283221
Chest supported rows are all well and good for squeezing and contractions anr all that, same with cable rows but they just aren't the same as good low-ish rep barbell rows pulled to your waist and worrying about power

>>42283031
Dorian himself says underhand is a bit better but it doesn't really make a huge amount of difference except a little bit of extra ROM
>>
what is wrong with Pendlays?
>>
>>42283302
This op is probably a moron or new to lifting, and he probably fucked his shit up with pendlays. Honestly yates are easier on ur lower back so if u are weaker there do yates
>>
>>42283302
Nothing
>>
>>42283012
> not doing bench rows
lol
>>
patrician opinion: nobody cares, just row, progressively overload and preferrably don't snap your shit up

Pendlay rows = more emphasis on lower back which you don't need if you already squat and deadlift

Yates rows = mechanically strong position for lats and doesn't use as much lower back
>>
ratpoison in moderate amounts will boost your free test level
>>
Food for thought: I have NEVER seen anyone at my gym who actually looks like they lifts doing pendlay rows
>>
Do dumbbell chest press work if you're flat on the ground?
>>
>>42283423
It's called a floor press and it's a good assistance exercise for bench
>>
>>42283409
bull shit
>>
>>42283453
I searched for 20 seconds and found an example
>>
>>42283513
Fuck wrong thread

i always thought of pendlays as being an assistance exercise for c&j, helping with explosiveness off the floor. i enjoy doing pendlays but yates rows are probably more efficient as a pure back exercise
