I usually eat dinner when I get home from work (get home at 6, eat at 6:30 or 7) then head off to lift at 8:30

I've never eaten "breakfast" as long as I can remember. breaking fast happens more than 5 hours after being awake, and I can't work out on a full stomach, so it just werks.

Weird, I feel like I can't lift as much on an empty stomach. It's part of the reason I lift at night. Is it a psychological thing?
It's as if I have less energy.

I go lifting direkctly after work i. e. around 5, takes me 1,5 h, then commuting home. This means I have dinner around 7-8, depending on whether my wife or me is cooking

I feel like my body spends too much energy suggesting food instead of focusing on the work out. I get painless cramps in my stomach when I eat before gym which distracts me.
