I briefly looked into a femur lengthening procedure. My left femur is almost two inches shorter than my right due to a scooter crash right smack in the middle of a growth spurt when I was twelve. Obviously, this causes a lot of back issues. Everything from my pelvis up to my shoulder blades is misaligned. Chronic pain issues.

I've been in a similar situation as you, except mine was for hair loss. I got a hair transplant, and I didn't care about consequences, cost, etc. All that mattered was to not be bald, and it worked. With medicine and surgery I have a full head of hair.
I think, though, your situation is more difficult. Going from 5'2 to 5'8 might make you disproportionate, and after thousands of dollars, pain, and possible complications, you might crawl out of one hole and into another. Can you upload a picture of just your lower body?
Also, I think some good alternatives to your situation are moving to a location where people in general are shorter, and if you're concerned about woman, you can try online dating to find someone below your height as well.
My situation was similar..but posed a lot less risks and didn't effect how proportionate I am. It also costed much less.
