Everyone saying being fit doesn't help your social skills is wrong. Bring fit DOES help, but only by raising your perceived social worth.
If you're fit, you can have the same shitty, borderline autistic personality, but it will be perceived as aloof and quirky rather than off putting. You get a longer leash in any social situation, so even if your actually social skills don't improve, others perceptions of said skills will.
