Do you have to do isolation exercises to hit the lateral delts?
Theoretically if I did some dumbbell presses and some rows I would hit the front fibers of the lateral deltoid and the posterior fibers of the lateral deltoid? Kinda like how if you do ab wheel rollouts and deadlifts you'll have worked your obliques

It doesn't work like that, you either work the head or you don't.
If you want to hit them enough for optimal gains, yes, do isolation.
But standard OHP and even rowing will hit the lateral head a bit, but other muscles do most of the work and will fatigue before those exercises bring the lateral delt to the same level of fatigue.
