They're the retards spending 4k a year on going out to eat. I only go out for lunch when I have a good enough excuse to put it on my company card. (usually a "sales" call with a Qt sales rep from other companies. Easy as shit to organize these sorts of things and flirt on the company dime)

OP there is literally nothing wrong with you. Your coworkers are just normalfags who also happen to be gains goblins with poor sense of money. "Hanging out" with coworkers accomplishes nothing, so just do your thing. It is a known fact that normalfags have poor control. Don't fall for the peer pressure, alienation is acceptable, being a weak and poor fuck isn't.

You know when you made it?

It's when people around start bellitling you and judging you.

When you are fat/ beta people want to be friendly with you because they want someone inferior to them in their social circle to make them feel good about themselves.

When you are fit, educated and attractive men start challenging you and women start to make fun of you in your face. They do that , always infront of other people , to try and appear superior and to relieve stress. If you talk to them face to face you will see how much you intimidate them. You remind them of all that they aren't.

>>
>>42230980
What a load of nonsense. No matter what you are people belittle and judge you. Fat/beta people especially are fat shamed and beta shamed all the time. Fat jokes have been a sitcom and movie staple for well over 100 years.

If you can't withstand honest criticism, that is your fault.
>>
>>42230294
>meal prep only came into existence because its a male/engineering solution to the new problem that women refuse to learn to cook nowadays.

In ancient Rome most people didn't have kitchens and almost the entire population ate out.

It's not new or necessarily bad not to prepare your own meals. Cooking is time consuming, and most people would rather spend their time better.
>>
>>42229954
Oh boy. What a lazy mooch you are.
>>
>>42231259

He is telling the truth mostly. However the main people who will 'shit-test' you the hardest after losing/gaining weight are your peers as they are accutely aware that you are increasing social status and moving up the pecking order - and people HATE this as it means theirs is lowering.

>>42229656

tried meal prep, eating chicken and rice that's been in the fridge for 3 days is groce.
>>
>>42231355
It's not complete bs to think misery loves company though. It's anecdotal and I'm not him, but the people at my job passive aggressively comment on how I'm probably on steroids or how they could get in shape if they didn't have a life and could sit in the gym all day, and say dumb shit along those lines. These same people never comment on me when I was fat.

A lot of people, especially when they get comfortable enough, can't help themselves, their own insecurity comes out one way or another or they attempt to belittle because you're doing something a lot of people wish they could.

>>
>>42231430
>or how they could get in shape if they didn't have a life and could sit in the gym all day

God this triggers me so hard.
Worse is that the people who say this kind of shit literally do nothing of value with their time other than watch tv/netflix or go to the pub on weekends.

>However you are neglecting your career by not eating out with coworkers.
So he should neglect his health and eat out with his pig coworkers who laugh at him for caring about what he puts into his body? Why would you want to spend any more time with assholes like this than you have to? You're also losing $15 every fucking day just to hang out with these people. $15 to hang out with people who were just shit talking you.
>>
>>42231553
Being well-liked and a team player is part and parcel of most career advancement.

Why do you all think eating out means you have to order the most fatty, unhealthy shit on the menu? You know places serve soups and salads, right?

the guys are right; getting to know your coworkers is important (read: networking).

source: last 2 of my jobs came from...wait for it..former coworkers

I'm the same though, I hate going out to eat lunch (unless someone else is buying) because it's expensive and 'muh macros' but I tend to go out once a week just for social reasons. $15 once a week isn't going to kill your wallet unless you're working a minimum wage job and will pay you farther down the line when you need a new job and one of your old coworkers can put in a good work for you at their new place of employment.

I eat the same thing every week

At sunday steam cook brocolli, zuchini, carrots and cauliflower

I know a butcher that cooks the meat that sells me so i buy 1 kg of chicken for 3 days and 1 kg of liver for the other 3, on sundays i eat fish from a local fisherman

I also steam cook 6 eggs and eat them with salad with cottage cheese everynight

All this takes maybe 45 minutes a week

People are just incredibly lazy and/or stupid, and I say this as someone who is very lazy. And I don't even accept the "Well they were never taught to cook" argument since I wasn't either outside of super basic shit like bacon and eggs; virtually everyone has access to the internet in the first world so there's no reason not to be able to look shit up. Last night I made a delicious chicken carbonara for dinner (yeah yeah, not the healthiest thing) and that alone is more complex than the most complex meal that 90% of my peers have made, and it's honestly super easy. Half the people that I know consider Kraft Dinner (yes, I'm a Canadafag) with cut up hot dogs to be difficult work. It's pathetic.

>>
>>42233250
Yes. I don't think it's because these people idiots who find the concept hard to understand (though many are idiots) but because there's so much bad information floating around because of all the popular diet fads. Nearly every one seems to imply you can eat 10,000 calories of any junk and lose weight if you just cut out this one thing we're demonizing this time whether it's fat, carbs, gluten, sugar or whatever else some diet book author comes up with to make a quick buck. And of course, there are still people who are convinced they are doing themselves a favor by drinking/eating mass quantities of gluten-free beer or eggs without yolk.
>>
>>42231259
because you have autistic shut in virgins who think they know how the real world works.
>>
>>42232708
A typical fast food meal is at least $5. If you work 5 times a week and always eat out that's $25 * 4 (weeks in month) * 12 (months in a year) = $1200 worth of lunches. Now the kicker is most of the people eating cheap shitty fast food everyday can't afford it, and the ones that can are stupid for not eating higher quality food or just eating healthier.
OP's pic is overboard in the other direction though. I normally eat lite breakfasts and lunches so I can have a better, but also heavier, dinner. It keeps it lean and gets me through the day.
>>
>>42236214
Don't re heat it.
>>
>>42234174
Do you need special containers to freeze stuff or anything or just put it in regular plastic containers? Does the food get freezer burned?
>>
>>42229970
yea, you only get to truly know someone by putting the same things in your mouth with them.
>>
>>42231579
I've seen the nutritional content of soups/salads at many restaurants and it's often fucked in a peculiar and unique way.
>>
>>42234413
I usually just do three days at a time and toss what's left. most people seem to freeze it.
>>
>>42230526
Disgusting. Never eat out a woman.

If you had said "and make her blow you", you'd have a good post. But now you're just a beta cuck for going down.
>>
>>42237119
at least five dollars which is more likely to be 7-12 more reasonable. this doesn't count other things too like the 7 mile drive plus the 40 minutes you're punched out for.

then another thing that's awful about going out to eat during work hours is now half the people in the building ate gone which is stopping the other half from getting any thing done.
>>
>>42234078
>>42234174
>>42234394
Alternatively, I'll put all 5 of my lunches for the week in the fridge, and they're always fine on Friday. Have done this for a couple years, literally never gotten sick or noticed anything off about the food. If you have your food in individual containers that you don't disturb after putting them in a cold fridge, they'll be fine. If it's in a big pot or something that you take out of the fridge over and over and expose it to bacteria repeatedly, it may not last as long.
>>
>>42229642
Damn that stuff looks fucking delicious bro

Now I know that's not a huge sum of money but come on, I could easily live off that plus have savings and not stress over my spending. They were my really good friends but living with someone really puts a strain on things, good thing I only have to put up with it for a few more months. I just don't see how people can't understand that eating out is retarded expensive.
>>
The only people who post on /fit/ and literally cannot think of a way to eat out without ruining their diet are the ones who haven't made it. Dieting is not that hard, you'd have to be retarded with your orders to go over your limit. All you have to do is crunch the math for your calories and macros like every other functioning adult. You people talk like every single meal at any restaurant has a minimum of 1000 calories in it.

So fucking many. Especially older people in my experience. Some young seem to get it, at least conceptually even if they buy all that other "static weight" nonsense. But so many older folks grew up on vague "just eat less" which if you aren't watching calories could just be as well as farting in the wind. That's best case. Most grew up with folk remedies like chug lemon juice or whatever nonsense.

hey we all actually came back from the lake just now. Though he kinda just floated around at least I convinced him to carry some of the kids upstream with me for exercise.

So what are your basic staples for this? Spices?
>>

Tell me about it. I made the mistake of rooming with one of my best friends from high school my first year of college and it was terrible. He stayed in bed all day (he never went to class) watching anime and only ate junk food. I think the healthiest thing I saw him eat was Chic-Fil-A. It was basically impossible to do anything in the room because he'd be watching some shitty Fotm anime with the lights turned off and the blinds closed.

On the plus side, seeing how pathetic his life was is what finally motivated me to get serious about eating healthier and working out regularly, so I guess it payed off in the end.

No decent restaraunt does that. At the very most a few sauces or prepotioned cuts of meat are refrigerated. Not entire meals

I'll take a shot at OP's image
Top row, left to right:
>sauteed carrots, mushrooms, and broccoli with beef and spinach cappelletti
>fried chicken cutlet with scallions, corn, peas, and red bell peppers
>beef with pine nuts, mushrooms, carrots, spinach, and brown rice
Second from top, left to right
>sauteed carrots, mushrooms, and broccoli with beef and brown rice
>grilled salmon with sesame seeds, scallions, corn, peas, and carrot strips
>shredded beef with whole garlic cloves, orange bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, and scallions
Middle row, left to right:
>diced fried chicken, steamed broccoli, orange, red, and green bell peppers
>beef with mushrooms and sesame seeds, cherry tomatoes, and spinach cappelletti
>beef (?) with sesame seeds, yellow bell peppers, and parsley with steamed broccoli and brown rice
Second from bottom, left to right:
>diced grilled chicken with sesame seeds, white onion strips, carrot strips, chopped bok choy (?)
>beef (?) with almonds, yellow bell peppers, and parsley with spinach cappelletti
>grilled salmon and sesame seeds with red and green bell peppers, steamed broccoli, and brown rice
Bottom row, left to right:
>diced grilled chicken with sesame seeds, white onion strips, carrot strips, chopped bok choy (?)
>broiled sliced beef and pine nuts with spinach and spinach cappelletti
>broiled sliced beef and pine nuts with spinach and brown rice
Assume that the vegetable beef has a soy glaze (or was slow cooked with the vegetables), the diced chicken has a lemon or balsamic glaze, and the sliced beef has a dry rub. Also salmon is great with teriyaki sauce but it doesn't look like any was used here. Hope this helps anons

if its packaged sealed with protective gas from store then about 4days?
but since you probably ask about not packaged then good way is marinating the breast using oil, some spices like powdered paprika, cut some garlic for anti bacterial benefits and longer storage and let i sit for 1-2 days but it wont go bad for like 3

enjoy

>There is people
>On this Earth
>RIGHT NOW
>That think not cooking is justifiable because it takes too much time

I never understood this argument.
The wait time for any non-fast food restaurant food is going to be several times higher than any prep time you could have for your meals.
Even with fast food, the commute + order time is probably going to make the final time expenditure higher than a home cooked meal.

And yet you see people claiming that it's downright impossible to have a job and eat healthy.
I'm not even talking about prepping a week of meals in advance, I cook every day at every meal, and yet these people act as if you need to be a NEET with 3 hours to spare just to make pasta

TRUE

Though when you go to a restaurant how often is it you are all ordering the same thing?

The social bonding comes from sharing a meal (and its risks of poisoning etc).

Also not appreciated enough: social bonding effects from FASTING together. Religions got it right with the whole forced-fasting-together-for-bonding thing.

>. They were my really good friends but living with someone really puts a strain on things

this is my life story for the last 5 years kek. Lived with lots of uni friends. MOST have ripped me off, refused to pay rent towards the end of the sublet. Some have been perverts who peek into my room when im having sex. I got so sick of it all

Bruh, I just did my own meal prep last night, I didn't have time to barbeque the shrimp and chicken but I will tonight. Honestly it's kind of rewarding. I made a shit load of 430 cal breakfast burritos.

10/10 will meal prep again.

Just messing... but, did you get these from like a recipe book or are these the recipes that have been passed down by your great great granny Gertrude helderstinkle.

Does anyone have any recommendations for fit approved cookbooks. Sgetti, chicken, rice, frozen veggies is getting rough.

Poor af college student that is considering meal prep. Only thing putting me off it is ice in the food.

Do you guys put all the meals in the freezer and then defrost the one you will be using for that day?
>>
>>42229752
I mean it literally does save prep time? If you only have to prepare a big batch once a week rather that 5 smaller batches 5 times a week you're spending less time preparing food.

No meal prep consume less time than just doing whatever crosses your mind for eating. That is why it was invented

Sitting in fatburgers drive through is not a better way to spend time.

As an adult you have to cook and this is how you should do it

There is a bit of truth in this though.
It's not about being attractive=worse life because now that I'm fit my social life has become a little easier especially with girls.

Three years ago I was overweight though and when I decided to lose weight everybody supported me but when I was getting really slim some people tried to stop my weight loss.

I remember people telling me that I was becoming really lanky and they always tried to make me eat unhealthy food when I was around 20% bodyfat.

>social bonding comes from eating the same food
>eat lunch with Bob every day for 7 years
>but Bob ordered the fish and I ordered the chicken
>fuck Bob

You see how that breaks down? You bond over doing the same ACTIVITY together and shooting the shit during it. The bonding has nothing at all with your activity. Details like someone choosing the steak when everyone at the table ordered the pasta don't matter. That would be autistic as fuck.
