>bought a bike recently
>been riding it to the gym and back home as a nice warm-up/cool-down exercise
>first time I must have stopped and got off to walk like 5 times
>don't remember it being this taxing on the leg muscles as a kid
>finally built up enough endurance to get through the 3 mile ride there without stopping, today
where are my fellow bike-bros at? and how much cycling do I have to do daily to get lean af?

are you serious? that's not even 5km. it's not that hard to run that distance, on a bike it should be easy even for a beginner. unless there's some serious hill climbing there. or maybe there's something wrong with your bike? are you sure it's a good size for you?
also, to burn fat the best thing is consistently doing long rides in zone 2 (see pic related for reference) with high cadence. ideally something between 90-110rpm. but don't bother buying a rpm sensor unless you want to get serious. just spin fast enough to be a little uncomfortable.

I can maintain 20mph for hours and I'm a disgusting fatbody. You're just a pussy.

3 miles is just barely 5 km, I think 1 km is about .62 km
and thank you for the chart

>not much slower you
>can barely ride 3 miles

Are your gears setup properly? If your gear is harder than necessary then it will be overly difficult to bike 3 miles. Try experimenting with lower gears.
