Went to the gym for the first time with a friend

Still sore two days later. When do I stop hurting?
Should I be getting used to this after every gym session?

It can take 3-5 days to go away at first.
But, the good news is that if you go to the gym while still sore, the soreness will go away after a few warm up sets.
After a few weeks you will stop getting sore, and you will start to miss it. (this doesn't mean you aren't working hard enough, soreness is not an indicator of a productive workout)
first day I worked out I could barely do anything for 4 days then it started letting off, 3-7 days
