>Hey /fit/ I'm a little bitch who's asking you to motivate me even though I know what to do. I can't commit to lifting weights but I'm gonna waste your time and ask anyway

First, keep a food journal. Myfitnesspal is great if youre lazy. It's very difficult to gain mass rowing competitively because we burn so much. If you want to gain weight, you have to eat.

Second, ask your coaches about your goals. You have to put in the work. I'm not sure what you're currently doing, but maybe you're doing the right things and not eating. Maybe you need more time in the weight room and more calories. Someone directly involved in your training will have better advice.

Post rowing is easy when you cut out 30 to 40k meters a day. I was eating 5 to 6000 calories a day and would lose weight during the spring. I found it continually uncomfortable to each that much over 6 meals a day. Expect to be uncomfortable and feel full all the time.

just up the weights you do both on and off season. During the summer (now) is when you should just eat big and hit the weights hard, maintain aerobic base with one or two ergs a week. Size is pretty useless (even detrimental) in the boat unless it's accompanied by strength though.
Pic related is me, i find myself to have a large upper body for a rower and it's not exactly useful because without it, I could make lightweight
