I don't know if this is that related to the thread, but here goes.
I've recently began meditating, and it's gotten me thinking, why don't we just do everything sitting on the floor? Why do we need desks and chairs? Is there a benefit to chairs if you can sit straight and comfortably on the floor?
The only reason I see for desks is if you need to have your face really close to the thing you're doing (say, building an electric circuit or eating or something), and even then I see no reason to include a chair.
Is it something about the position of your arms while you do stuff? Any good articles / research I can read about this?
because most people are fat fucks who aren't able to sit cross legged.
It's so desks, chairs etc can be marketed.
And because people are trained into having poor posture

bacause the flor is fucking dirty, I wouldn't go out and sit on a floor in a resturant, or at work, or anywhere else
