Without AAS, no.
I think at the very least you will prevent your muscles from getting weaker, but idk if they can grow.
You can definitely get stronger.
Some studies have shown previously untrained or beginners gaining lean body mass on a calorie deficit.
The more overweight you are the more muscle you can build while in a deficit, just please for the love of god lift while you cut.

No. Unfortunately as a noob, you either gain minimal.musclr and lose minimal fat on maintenance learning the moves and plateuing, or you eat more, gain fat and significant muscle, or eat less, lose significant fat and some muscle.
Keep in mind if youre skinny fat, loaing weight wont make you look any less skinny fat because your bf percent is still high in proportion to your overall weight.
If you truly want to break out of skinnyfat mode, embrace built fat mode first then work the fat off. Its a much more efficient use of your time as a noob.
If you're a total fatass, you can build muscle while losing fat but you have to make sure you're getting your macros(carbs are least important) and vitamins in. If you are getting them in, then your body while make up the missing calories by using your fat.
