Can anyone recommend a good entry level fish to eat? The things I am looking for are:
1. bland taste
2. cheap
3. high omega 3 levels
4. no heavy metal risk
5. easy to prepare
Also if anyone lives is Sydney where is the best place to buy it? Do I need to go to the fish markets or is the supermarket okay?
canned tuna

>>42149990
he said no heavy metal risk
OP just dont eat fish if u cant handle it faggot pussy
>>42150004
dont fall for the mercury tuna bs mate, you need to eat like multiple cans a day
>>42150004
>he said no heavy metal risk
It's not for everyday, like any other fish. As long as you don't do anything autistic there is no risk. It's the best bet for "entry level fish".
>>42150018
but what has more of a heavy metal risk than canned tuna
>>42150004
>he fell for the mercury meme

Any fish that you don't know the sea that it was fished at.

If you hate the taste of fish, your best bet for taste/omega 3 ratio is probably salmon. Just season the living fuck out of it to mask the flavour and you're set.
I've also been told that Tuna steak is a good option if you want an oily fish that doesn't taste like microwaved vagina.

canned sardines
>>42149875
Sardines, salmon, cod, anchovies etc are all safe and high in omega 3.
>>42149875
Sardines in hot sauce
>>42149875
Just buy a few bags of the small frozen shrimp. That's probably your best bet.

Cod and Tilapia are my go-to. Red snapper if you're a baller with bank
>>42149875
Salmon is GOAT, even from the supermarkets it tastes godly
cod is my favorate fish closley followed by haddock... get those, theyre good just straight up boiled, maybe even put some butter on em
>>42149875
flounder
>>42150030
Swordfish or shark
>>42149875
I think tilapia is your best your choice. It doesnt taste very fishy, and doesnt require a lot of seasoning to mask the fish taste. Also they are pretty cheap.
>>42150404
Cod
Spritz of white wine
Butter
Lemon
Lowery's or some spiice you like
Oven till ready to fall apart at a touch
Also works for shrimp
sardines, mackerel (if you ever fish for it, grilled fresh mackerel is the best tasting food ever)
>>42149875
2 dollar sardines in a can from woolies. You can get them in water, oil or sauce. They're lean as fuck, have more omega 3 than you'd get from supplements and taste like boring disgusting plain old fish.

This. Mercury in fish is severely overblown and even in fish not regularly eaten, mercury effects should still be negligible and the fish should have adequate levels of selenium

Shark is genuinely delicious. Mackerels, salmon and tuna are options but salmon is expensive. Trout and bream are a bit cheaper.
