personal trainer was a waste of money. Just eat less calories than your body needs and you'll lose weight, its that simple. But personal trainers always have the "burn it off in the gym" mentality to keep you fat so they can milk you for everything you've got.

I only got the personal trainer for the accountability. Soon as the 6 months are done, I'm just gonna keep the membership ($10/mo) and try to recommend somebody for him to train next. I already know him through association and he only gets paid through sessions, so I figured the most I coukd do after I'm done is that.
