I've been doing squats every second day for 8 months now

I've been doing squats every second day for 8 months now and I don't know if I like how it's changing my body despite the gains.

My ass has always been fucking massive. Squatting has made it even bigger. Men's clothes are built for flat asses and its irritating; my work trousers are wearing down not between the thighs like a fat person, but on my ass because of the sheer fucking tension constantly present when seated.

But on the plus side even though i'm only on 90kg squats my ass looks better than most veteran lifters.

OP, you know exactly what you have to do right now.

You need to train your upper body too.
Otherwise you will end up with big legs and scrawn arms.

To keep it simple, you should train every other day but alternate between squats and overhead presses.

In your case, I skip a couple of squat days and only do overhead presses instead. At least until you look balanced.

It's part of SS, you're squatting you're 5-rep max for 3 sets every other day and it will continue going up if you're eating enough.
I personally think it's excessive but it'll build your legs like nothing else

I thought high rep was better for hypertrophy gains so shouldn't low rep not make your legs super big?
My legs and ass are fat, I thought doing squats would make them more muscly and less fat, or was I wrong?

Just becuase low reps is better for strength doesn't mean it doesn't yield mass gains. Just becuase high reps is better for mass gains doesn't mean you don't gain strength. They're not mutually exclusive you dink.
