First squat session, can't walk.
Is it too late to prevent DOMS now?
What can I do right now today to avoid pain tomorrow?
STRETCH
Especially your abductors
My old roommate said banana and chocolate milk helped, I thought it was bro science.
There's nothing you can actually do, you'll eventually miss getting DOMS

Do some bodyweight squats.
Keep the muscles active and stretched.
Ibuprofen can help too.
As above said tho, enjoy it while it lasts, you will never have this level of DOMS again.

Do more squats. If you're squatting at least 2-3 times a week, you shouldn't be getting DOMS. When properly conditioned, you shouldn't be getting DOMS.

Potassium + Protein, yeah it makes sense.
Ditch the kid's milk for something with less sugar though.
I can only imagine.
>mfw first time squatting
>live on 18th floor
>elevator is out
Also >mfw taking shits.
I used to squat once then give up due to DOMS, then squat once a few weeks later, still get crazy doms. Then keep doing this.
Now I just squat consistently and its much much better, just power through

The only way to prevent DOMS is to work out. Suck it up and keep squatting, the pain will go away after 5-7 days for leg DOMS and then you'll feel fine doing squats.

It hurts real bad to sit down... he promised he'd be gentle and I wouldn't get DOMS.
BCAAs can help, electrolytes can help, foam rolling can help, aspirin can help, sleep can help.
