Would taking a form of martial arts as a fat guy be a good way to lose weight?
I've been walking/jogging up and down my street daily, and I've changed up my diet, but I saw this martial arts gym near my house, and I've heard it's a good way to drop some weight.

Depends on the martial art and how fat you are. If you're still massive, most martial arts will just fuck your knees like running would.

There's two studios.
One's kickboxing, and the others Jiu-Jitsu.
Last time I weighed almost 400lbs, which is what made me go on a strict diet, and is what made me start exercising.
I'm young though, and 6'2".

Just eat less until you're under at least 300 desu lad. Also try and do research and make sure neither of those are meme gyms just trying to scam money. Young doesn't mean shit if you tear up your joints, they don't heal like other shit.

Thanks for the advice

No problem dude, I wish you luck on your journey. Remember that consistency is key. You got this shit!
I know a fat guy that does judo 4 times a week. He says he has a lot of stamina but he can't even run 400 m without having to walk inbetween.
Martial arts are a meme, just eat less.

>do research and make sure neither of those are meme gyms
this is important
the best thing to do is to lift weights and go on a high protein cutting diet
