Is consuming 150 grams of protein a day unhealthy? I keep coming across people and articles that say I shouldn't be consuming so much protein as it will destroy my liver/kidneys. After several online searches I'm still not sure.

no, what the fuck
>>
>>42129929
You're fine, unless you had fucked up kidneys to begin with.
>>
>>42129929

Just consume less of anything that might actually become troublesome on your liver, like alcohol, heavy metals, etc.
As far as I know 200g of protein has not shown any negative health effects at least, so I would have that as a cap if you are worried about such a thing.

dink mostly water fool
>>
>>42129929
What is your weight ?
>>
I had about 285g/380g of protein a day (depending whether it's a workout or a rest day) for a year and all my blood levels were absolutely fine. I am neither saying that it is safe nor that it is not. That's just the experience I made.

I drink like a fish and have a very high protein diet. You'll be fine.
>>
>>42129929
Literally just drink more water
>>
>>42129932
It depends on your weight. But the kidney thing is fucking bullshit. You would have to eat 4 grams of protein per kg for that to happen.
>>
>>42129929
Fact is, you don't need 150g proteins/day.

It depends desu.

>Being a manlet
I'm a 6'5 actual man and I need 210g at least
>>
>>42129940
this, its no problems OP as long as you are drinking enough water, not over-consuming protein like 4-6 g/kg and doesn't have a kidney-disease
>>
>>42131848
No not really but ok
>>
>>42131848
lmao enjoy death
>>
>>42131848
No, you don't. Even if your target weight is 235 lbs with 10% bf, which I doubt to be your current level.
>>
I'm so scared of fucking up my liver. It's so easy to fuck it up.

You know the liver takes up 20% of the body's energy? The brain takes up 17%. It's fucking crazy.
