Never posted on, or even visted /fit/ before, but I need some advice.
I'm an Armyfag, and normally that means doing PT with the unit. But I'm posted to a tiny duty station with only four personnel, so we just work out on our own. I've mostly been lifting, but I've noticed my cardio is going to shit because of it. I'd rather avoid running however, because of an old knee injury that makes it rather painful after 10 or 15 minutes. What are the best non-impact ways to work on my cardio?
upper body conditioning there are a lot of possibilties, depending on your equipment
there is a difference between cardio and conditioning, go find it out!
Swimming is godtier.
Stationary bike is also good

Jump rope. I know it seems high impact, but jumping with soft knees and jumping the right height - about 1-2in off the ground, it's pretty low impact, and burns way more calories than running anyway.
No harm in trying it out. If it hurts then you know not to do it.
How about using the Cross-Trainer?

I'm a pretty mediocre swimmer, but I was actually thinking about getting a bike, there's a shit-ton of dedicated bike trails around here
