Taking vitamins on an extended fast is one of the worst things you can do, as your body tries to live off the vitamins instead of stored fat and you go into starvation rather than a fasted state.

I'm on day 13 of a fast, took vitamins for the first 2 days until I was bringing them back up and decided they weren't a good idea.

Nope. Starving is when you have no body fat left so your body starts to eat muscle and organs and you can fucking die.

Fasting is just the process of letting your body use up excess fat by living off of it instead of food.

Also it makes sense that if you're taking a readily available vitamin while fasting, your body will use them rather than the vitamins stored in your fat.
