It's seriously disheartening to see people who think that by decreasing volume, forcing a peak, and raises 1rm they are getting stronger.

I've been doing mythical strength inspired workouts where my rest times are just other exersizes. Fucking brutal, but I'm losing fat pretty quickly and I'm noticing much better work capacity when I don't have the giant sets

I do them too. I played sports and during athletics and strength workouts we'd sometimes have mates vomiting after. So Im used to brutal conditioning, being soaking wet from sweating and wouldnt have it any other way.
Of course, for people who were never physically active in life until they reached adulthood, its hard to get used to.
