>do every exercise till failure
>never wake up with muscle pain anymore
Why? I want to feel pain again. It's the only way I can be sure I gave my best in the training.

you'll have plenty of agony then.

getting stronger should make you feel like you're training your best.

do 1 rep maxes every day

You aren't truly lifting to failure until you dropset to failure anon. When the 2.5 pound dumbbells feel heavy, you will then know pain.

is dropsetting a good idea? I see my gymbro do it but he's doing crazy volume
Not getting sore does not mean that you aren't getting stronger.
I've been going to the gym by myself for a while and about two months ago I went with someone who's very experienced and I noticed that I never really worked my shoulders. We started doing standing OHP - dumbbell OHP and all that shit. HOLY FUCKING SORENESS.
Been training shoulders hard ever since - my Max dumbbell press was 26kg(5x) and 28kg (1rm) per hand 2 weeks ago. Did shoulders 3x since then and did not get sore at all. Two days ago I did 32kg (8x).
The being spotted allowed me to go to heavier weights without snapping my shoulders - however I didn't get sore ONCE yet improves 4kg in a short time.
