The reviews are all over the place but I need to try out some different models anyways. I've seen the Finis Lightning be recommended as an alternative to Speedo Vanquishers as well.

That's the thing, it's impossible to know what works, especially when they're cheap. I bought some no name goggles from my local sports store and they don't have an adjustable strap so it feels like I have a vacuum cleaner attached to my eyeballs.

Sarah is actually a really decent person.

I grew up swimming competitively, but quit when I was 15 due to it getting old going back and forth in the pool over and over. However, still kept up on swimming as a competitive sport, and since Sarah was the same age as me I often got updates of how she was doing.

Fast forward until I'm 18 and trying to get my drivers license. Ended up at the same driver school as Sarah for a short period, and studied the theory with her. Really nice and down to earth, although this was before she became an olympian. Apparently she was super impatient and always wanted to move the driving ahead and didn't want to be stuck doing the same thing over and over; if she did a thing right once she wanted to do the next.
