My back is in so much pain. My neck too. The other day my middle back went numb. I've been in bed all day for three days now. I've dealt with back/neck pain all my life, but this is a new level. I haven't been able to work out in over a year (so I'm out of shape as you can see). I do my best to walk and hike every day, but now for the past week I'm having trouble walking a half of mile without really painful problems in my back and neck.

Pic is me. I'm standing up as straight as I can. I look like a fucking peacock.

I've been told on this board I have APT - which I probably do. But could it be something more serious? Does my posture set off any alarms to y'all?
What can/should I do? I don't want to be wheelchair bound.

I don't know. I had an x Ray done a while back but I feel things have gotten a lot, lot worse since than. I feel I may have done extra damage since with some sporting activities. Right now I'm hoping if I just lay down all day long for a couple weeks it will be fixed.

Get an MRI. You probably have herniated disks which are quite common.

You'll get some great drugs out of it. Might as well since you have health insurance.

But you need to loose as much weight as you possibly can and keep it off for life. The lighter you are and the stronger your abs, the better your back will feel. Also don't do anything stupid. Herniated disks don't get better, but they sure do get worse.

Huh, interesting. I've always had a weak jaw. In fact, I think when I was focusing most on my jaw position. (Tightening jaw muscles, even using jaw supporters) I think my back and neck pain was at the very least. Maybe I should look into that more

Im actually a twig so I'm not worried about being fat. My waist is 32" and I'm 6'2". Somehow I'm 195lbs, I do need to lose weight.

Jeez, maybe. I'll get that checked out. I'll rest for now. Is there any chance a herniated disc can be fixed? And that's good advice, once I heal up enough and regain energy I'll start running and burning off weight. I know I need to drop twenty pounds and tighten my core so it can support my back. Thanks.

Lift you tossed salad. I have a horrible lower back pain that is constantly nagging. The past two months I though fuck it and started hammering squats and deadlifts. Shit has actually been going away for some reason, posture or something, I don't know.
