Yes, but there's diminishing returns to hair growth. You'll gain more hair mass by still letting it grow down below, trimming it once in a while, and braiding it into your head hair. Basically like chicks using hair extensions, but you use your own hair, so you're still natty.

Honestly OP it's not enough to only later the pubes, you need to entirely lazer off all body hair.

It can also help to feed the hair directly. Put some of your favorite jam (or honey) onto the thinning patch of hair. Most people are not aware of this, but the follicles will actually absorb sugar directly from food and the hair will be "built" faster from the roots. Don't use solid food as it doesn't absorb as well.
