Should I even bother with squats with my fucked up legs? I get knee pain from just body weight squats. Sucks too cuz they are my favorite lift.

Squatting correctly can help with knee pain. Make sure your form is good though. Also depends on what exactly is wrong with your knees, maybe see a physio

I fell on my left knee while dancing a few years back and it gives me grief sometimes, squatting regularly usually makes it go away

Have you tried different stances, ie feet closer together or further apart, also change angle of where your toes are pointing.

get a single speed bike with a 46/16 gear ratio.
if in doubt ask the bike mech to swap the front chain ring.

you'll fix the issue and get leg gains
