What's a good fitness app if I'm looking to start running? Something that will time me and tell me how long I've been running and when to switch to walking for a few minutes?

C25k will tell you when to walk and run but it follows the C25K program. There's a Zombies Run version of it too, but that also includes dumb shit like high knees.

The regular Zombies Run will have zombies chase after you to tell you to speed up during your run. I guess you could just walk for a while and run during those parts.

I got Zombies 5k from a humble bundle, is that what you're talking about?
>>

Yeah. I think it's garbage because I don't like dumb shit like high knees.

I'm a little confused as to why you need an app to tell you when to run and when not to. Unless you're trying to follow a program like C25k, just tell yourself.
>>
"Zombies, Run!" is a normie app, where's "Zombies, Grab Your Concealed Gun And A Beer!"?

That was the idea, yeah.

I wanted an app that would tell me when 2 minutes of running were up, and then again when 1 minute of walking was up.

Speaking of which, does anyone know a good program? I'm thinking of trying this one: http://www.runnersworld.com/training/the-8-week-beginners-guide

Looks better than c25k to me, but i doubt you'll find an app.

Really though, these programs are mostly just confidence builders. Unless you're overweight or really out of shape, you can probably already run a 5k. Your body just doesn't wasn't to and your mind is telling you you can't.
