in whiskey's case, its to do with burnt oak barrel aging, which makes it taste a little like vanilla.

for gin, a lot of the botanicals (like lemon peel, juniper berries) impart sweetness into the spirit during infusion.

I have been on keto twice

First time I got violently ill a few weeks out.

Second time by day 7 i was in the hospital with nightmarish vomiting and diarrhea

Its a very effective diet. But im pretty sure some people just cant do it without almost dying
