Is their any point in doing bicep curls as accessory lifts for deadlift or bench? It seems to me that bicep curls are pointless in strength training
Strength training just means being strong. Try doing any sort of strong man event with weak biceps
Also, if you just bench and don't curl, enjoy the tendonitis

It seems to me you're suggesting that deadlift and bench will hit somehow biceps. If so, hopefully I'll never witness your deadlifts and bench presses.
I fell for the don't curl meme, and now the main thing holding back my bench is weak biceps and tendons on the eccentric portion so I'm benching off of a weak platform and keep getting shoulder and elbow injuries.
It's all much better now since I've added in 5x20 light curls once a week and 5x20 face pulls twice a week. Also I have biceps now which is nice.
