Clean your room/apartment/house whatever once every couple months and get rid of shit you know you won't ever use/wear again. Just got rid of some shitty chair and donated some old clothes. Just having my rooms semi-empty feels so good. Easier to clean too.

Watch that documentary on Netflix called Minimalism. Those guys take it too far, but I agree you should cut out as much waste in your life as possible.

Try to find new hobbies, acquire new kinds of knowledge, read book. Camping with often it's a pretty good option too.

Well, I've given up several things recently. Not consciously self-improving really, but out of disgust, and a bit of depression. Somebody on /lit/ called a photo of my room 'spartan', and I allowed myself some complacency.

Sold my smart phone to a gypsy and my armchair for pennies. Bought a model that can only call & sms. Threw away rugs and blankets and comfort items. All alcohol-themed glasses are gone. Sometimes only eating eggs, peas and dark bread. I don't know how far I'm going. Ideally I'd like to be able to move apartments with a sedan.

I just started out of nowhere and had never done woodwork before. The bookshelf looks a bit shit, you can tell what the first thing I did was because it's all fucked up but you pick up the basics of practical skills quickly. It doesn't take to long to do basic builds either, so long as you plan them out in detail

Good thread OP. Starting to make it pushes you farther away from the crap normies take in on a daily basis.

I typically try to stay out doors. Hikes and slacklining are always a good way to ensure that. Also, cleaning your room and sorting yourself out helps alot.

I blocked the porn sites i frequent so it would stop being my go-to for boredom.
I was doing a great job of no vidya, but getting a gaming, technology loving room mate has brought back old habits...
Also i used the StayFocusd app on Chrome to limit how much time i can spend on certain sites each day (currently at 60min)

Feels good but I know I need to cut out more, there are too many distractions from the gym still.

I sorta grew out of vidya, but I did so before going to the gym. Graphics card shat itself, too poorfag to afford a new one. Got so damn bored that I decided I'd join a gym. Have since had a few occasions where I could buy a new graphics card but didn't.

Am I doing it right?
I do kinda miss vidya though.

i don't know if this applies for single player games, but being in shape has made me way more focused and motivated to git gud. you just have to balance out your hobbies. instead of going for 8+ hours whenever i could, i'll play for 3-4 max. i've lost that love/hate feeling and i rarely get frustrated or anything.
