Anyone here not do squats but only deadlifts?
Wouldn't you get the testosterone response from deads if you neglected squats regardless
I don't squat often, maybe once a month max, but deadlift religiously.
Currently at a 6plate dead for one, Squat 5RM is about 110kg
I used to squat 3.5plate for 5. But that was like 3 years ago now. I stopped caring about squats.

How are your quads homie

the "testosterone response" is broscience
doing heavy compounds will temporarily raise your test levels and gh levels, but it is such a slight and temporary increase that it makes no difference in muscle building at all - it's a far cry from the 24/7 supra-physiological elevation that roiders have, which actually does do something
squats and deadlifts are good because they are compound movements that work many muscles and lend themselves well to incremental loading and progressive overload, not because of "releases growth hormone bro squat for big arms"

Pretty shit by /fit/ standards.
IRL people say they are big tho.

same boat but haven't squatted in 6 months, pull 575

conventional one day, sumo another, and a little dedicated quad work (leg press but i wish i had hip belt squat available to me) keeps my quads looking ok
>>41950362
holy shit lol it looks like your quads are literally the only muscle on your leg
>>41950388
What other muscles would you be able to see from that angle?
>>41950405
looks like no adductor or calves, from that pic it just looks like a ham hock slapped onto a twig leg

How many times do you deadlift a week?
>>41950467
twice
tuesday i do conventional and RDLs, friday I do sumo
>>41950450
Lol, your calves would look half that size in that pose, unless you want to prove me wrong? But we all know you wouldn't.
>>41950467
Only once a week.

It's broscience, no other way to settle it.
You can get a temporary rush from elevated hormone levels the same as running.
Chemical release can make you feel better.
However unless you're in the top percentile of all lifters and trying to maximize every possible avenue of approach. You'll get little benefit in the long term for what you're doing.
More testosterone would be gained via increasing blood flow in any way to the testicles, eating right, and sleeping right than you'd get from a stimulation of one muscle group.
Losing excess body fat and stretching properly would increase your testosterone more than you squatting any amount.
It's all about the total health, not one portion.
