How should I take advantage of living really near a gym and being able to lift every day? I currently do 5/3/1. Will squatting heavy on extra days turn me super saiyan or is that a meme?
>>
I would do PHAT.

Related question.

If I'm looking for a new apartment how close to a gym should I live. Also why do like hardly any of them have power racks?

5/3/1 a shit.

>>41925861

Layne Norton is an idiot.

Give RTS style programming a try.

>>41925931

Post your body so we can laugh at your surety in your opinion.

Here you go faggot, I'm 6'2", 225, ~18% bf, have a 550 deadlift, 520 squat and 315 bench. Lifting 2.5 years.
>>
>>41925996

lol.
You sure showed Layne Norton.
>>
>>41926002

>I sure showed this dingus that knew he would injure himself the way he squatted but continued to squat the way he squatted because he wanted to put up the biggest numbers possible instead of realizing that the best way to actually be successful in power lifting is to perform your training in a way that minimizes your risk of injury

He showed himself.

5/3/1 really isn't bad, it just depends on your training goals and current fitness. If you're a somewhat old and busted lifter just looking to stay in relatively decent shape and still be somewhat strong, 5/3/1 is great for you. If you're younger and really looking to make great aesthetic or strength gains, then 5/3/1 is pretty fucking shit.
>>
>>41926040

Yeah I that's true. Should have put an asterisk there, 5/3/1 was made by an old, broken, steroid using powerlifter for himself and other old, broken, steroid using powerlifters. 5/3/1 itself is a ripped off and watered down version of an off-season football strength training program called Biggerger Faster, which is available online if you do a little digging.

OP here. I'm 6'0", about 103 kg (I binge on junk food almost every day due to depression about being a non Chad, but I haven't binged today or yesterday). My lift 1rms

Squat: 190 kg
Deadlift: 230 kg
Ohp: 88 kg
Bench: 114 kg

That was all in April and I feel like shit currently due to coffee ruining my sleep. I have barely progressed for two years. I remember doing 171 kg for 10 sets of 3 high bar squats almost two years ago as part of smolov jr.

I'm a fag who drinks coffee and will hopefully stop but wtf can I do after that? What is RTS stuff specifically?

I also do clean and jerks sometimes and have done 132 kg but I'm not serious about that.

RTS style programming is done by Mike Tuchscherer. It's all about managing fatigue and auto regulating volume and intensity. If you do some digging you can easily find the general intermediate program and 2016 and 2017's project momentums. The site is here, it's free to sign up and use the apps as well for tracking fatigue and tracking workouts.

>i binge on junk food almost every day due to depression

damn bro I know that feel
once that "feeling" kicks in your body just loses control and you end up gorging on everything in sight
it's not a rare occurrence for me to down 10k+ calories during a single binge day and still feel "hungry"

haven't binged in a month and I'm down back to 200lbs, but I know your struggle my friend
>>
>>41926204

Lel, 10k calories? A McDonalds meal with two extra burgers and some ice cream later is considered big for me.
>>
>>41926238
yeah bro binge eating disorder sucks never let it get as bad as mine was
an entire week's worth of cutting fucked over by a single day

pretty sure I'm over it now considering its been a month
>>
>>41925996
>225
>315 bench
Is this program just like a lower body thing or is your upper body just weak?
>>
>>41926847

how does it feel to be a manlet?
>>
>>41925996
You look fat as fuck lol.
Faggot.
>>
Do Americans really have to drive to get the the gym? In my country (atleast in big cities), there is literally atleast 1 gym in every neighborhood, so you get there just by few minutes walking.
>>
>>41926113
why is your bench so shit? I OHP 10k less than you and bench 15 more
