If I am trying to lose 5% body fat (20% - 15%) what should I be doing?
It seems like the answer is different based on who you ask. I initially put on a bit too much weight when gaining weight now I just want to get back down a bit.
Is eating better and just doing cardio after an intense workout the best thing to do? Do I have to cut my carbs and restrict myself consierably more in terms of consumption?

I have beeb doing the same thing anon. I started this niddle may at 186, at around 23% and now i am close to 158. Just run a mile and ride a bike every workout. No fast food. Drink a gallon of water each day.

You do the same shit everybody needs to do when they cut. Keep your protein high, eat 500 kcal below your TDEE, lift heavy weights 3-4 days a week, and do some cardio if you want. Why do you think this is complicated or hard?

If you want to lose body fat, get in a calorie deficit. It's literally as simple as that. You don't even have to do anything else. Eat fewer calories than your body burns each day and the fat will come off. It's dead easy.
