Well lightweights have weight restrictions, so they never even try to get big. Heavyweights are pretty yoked. But they get big from college weight programs, not the actual rowing. The rowing just gives you ok legs and a strong back.

If you want a little extra muscle from practice, put the resistance on the ergometer to max setting.

On my uni's crew team, it's mostly just legs. Most of my teammates are fat drunks. but you also have super fit people mixed in. It just matters how much work you put in
