Why is it so much fucking easier to not eat at all, than to eat a restricted amount? I'm near the end of day 2 of a suicide cut of 1g/lbm protein from protein powder only, and I am literally less hungry than if I was bulking or cutting.
When food hits my mouth I simply don't wanna fucking stop eating, be it a piece of celery, a can of beans, or junk food. But just drinking a few hundred calories of protein per day ONLY and I don't feel even a slight desire to eat food, I just feel a little weak.

Because organism adjust metabolism to the prolonged situation, do when you starve - organism adjust to that starting ketosis and changing heart rate etc. While if you eat limited amount - situation is different (also organism adjusts also).
However starving is a very bad idea outside of intermediate and short period fasting. You`ll lose weight, sure. But the price paid for that would bring many negative consequences.
